We finally got around to that pesky little podcast that we produce from time to time. I blame Amy's pregnancy. We all took maternity leave. Regardless, we took time out of our busy lives this week to entertain you. Well, at least Ian (out!), Amy and I did. Mike (still in closet!) had some lame-ass "some guy is painting my house" excuse. Yeah, I always have my painting guy come in and paint in the 10pm EST range. Yeah.
Not surprisingly, we ramble a little bit. I'm still a little groggy from the late-night feedings and my nipples hurt something fierce. I don't know what the hell Amy and Ian's excuses are, but we all sucked it up (pun intended) to give you Banned on the Run, Episode 6? (I couldn't remember what episode number we were on and I was too lazy to check. Hence the question mark at the end of the title. Normally, it's Mike's job to fact-check). Oh, be sure to stick around/fast forward to the end. There's a contest that we need everyone to participate in.
On to the SSTIFY...first off, thanks for all the emails on suggesting a song this week. And when I say "all", I mean "none". Suckholes.
This one came to me JUST under the wire. For those of you younger than 30....maybe even 35, the song will probably have no relevance. For those of you who do remember the theme song to this show, it just goes to show that ABC used to broadcast just about anything. This song was used on the show The Greatest American Hero and, from what I remember about the plot, there was this reluctant superhero that looked like a poor man's version of Willie Ames (if that's possible). He couldn't fly worth a shit, but he still managed to fight crime. Hilarity ensued. A quick look on IMDB.com reveals that this series lasted 3 years. WTF? Side Note- I am the king of 80's and 90's TV trivia. The king. How sexy is that, ladies?
I dare you to get this out of your head. I. Dare. You.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Cheezy - indeed. But overall, pretty weak. I blame your readers for not suggesting something better. Oh crap, that's me...
So next week, go for the theme with this line - "Best of all, I don't pay property tax."
By the way, if you Google it you are not the king of 80's and 90's TV trivia.
I didn't even play the video and I now have the damned song stuck in my head. Crap!

Believe it or not... George isn't at home-
challenge accepted.
Wow...why the hell can't we produce quality TV like that anymore? Just goes to show that we don't make things like we used to.
Needless to say, I'm old enough to remember this show, and the damned song. However, William Katt, if memory serves, is the son of the woman who played Della Street on Perry Mason. Now how's that for being OLD?????
What no Connie Sellecca reference/highlight/glossing?
Why don't you just go full nuclear and drop some John Tesh poetry on us?
;)
I was going to go with 'the dog ate my phone' but that just seemed absurd. My dog's a vegetarian.
Well, must be a show and a song for the geezers here cuz I do not remember that at ALL. And I'm 31.
Yep, you're right. I had NO idea what that video is/was.
OLD.
